To align with upcoming EU regulatory requirements, new rules for crypto deposits and withdrawals will soon come into effect.
What’s changing?
These updates apply only to crypto deposits and withdrawals and are aimed at ensuring greater transparency and compliance. These changes apply to users who completed address verification using a European document.
🔹 Depositing Crypto to EXMO (for transfers above €1,000 or equivalent):
You’ll need to provide sender details when receiving funds.
🔹 Withdrawing Crypto from EXMO (any amount):
You’ll need to enter the beneficiary’s details when sending funds.
What you need to do
To make sure your transactions go through smoothly, you’ll be prompted to provide additional details when depositing or withdrawing crypto.
Sending crypto to another exchange or self-hosted wallet?
You’ll need to submit:
🔹 Full name of the recipient
🔹 Country of the recipient
🔹 Crypto exchange name (if applicable)
Receiving crypto from another exchange or self-hosted wallet?
Head to the crypto deposit page on your EXMO account and check for transactions pending credit. A pop-up will request:
🔹Full name of the sender
🔹Country of the sender
🔹Crypto exchange name (if applicable)
What happens if you don’t provide the required info?
If the necessary details aren’t submitted:
❌ Transactions may be delayed or not processed.
❌ Funds may be returned to the sender.
To avoid any interruptions, make sure to enter all required information when making deposits and withdrawals.
