Update your 2FA method now to keep access to your account.
To enhance account security and align with the latest authentication standards, we’re phasing out support for SMS and mobile app (push) two-factor authentication methods for login and withdrawal confirmation.
Starting July 16, SMS and push access methods will no longer be valid options for 2FA login and withdrawal confirmation. If you’re currently using either of these methods, you’ll need to switch to an alternative before the deadline to preserve access to your account. This is a mandatory procedure that should not be ignored!
We recommend switching to one of the following secure methods:
▪️Google Authenticator – time-based codes stored in your device
▪️Passkey – a codeless solution using biometrics or device confirmation
How to change your 2FA method in the app:
▪️Go to your Profile
▪️Open More → Security tab
▪️Select Google Authenticator or Passkey and follow the setup steps
How to change your 2FA method in the web version:
▪️Go to your Profile
▪️Open Settings → Security tab
▪️Select Google Authenticator or Passkey and follow the setup steps
Why you should switch:
▪️Stronger protection. Suggested methods offer greater resistance to unauthorised access.
▪️More reliable. Recommended means work even if your SIM card is unavailable, or you’re travelling.
▪️Faster. Both methods, especially Passkey, make the login almost instant.
If you don’t switch to a supported 2FA method by the deadline (July 16), your access to the EXMO account will be restricted.
After this date, SMS and push-based 2FA will no longer be supported and will be disabled, so it is integral to update your verification method in advance.
To avoid any interruptions, make sure to change your 2FA to a supported option (Google Authenticator or Passkey) before the deadline. This step is mandatory to maintain uninterrupted access to your EXMO experience.
