Account verification

After successfully registering, you need to pass verification to access all features of our exchange. Verification is required to confirm that you are the owner of the account, as well as to protect your funds from theft.

EXMO account verification involves three stages:

  • Identity verification is mandatory and provides access to main features such as deposits, withdrawals and crypto trading.
  • Address verification verification allows traders to use a wide range of payment systems.
  • Bank card verification allows traders to withdraw funds to bank cards.

Identity verification

To start verifying your identity, go to the “More” tab on the app’s main screen. Then select “Account Verification” and tap “Identity Verification”.

Nothing verified

To pass identity verification, you need to follow five steps:

  1. Provide your personal data (name, date of birth and country of residence).

  2. Select one of the documents that confirm your identity (passport, international passport, ID card or driver’s license). Fill out the form with the data from the selected document.

  3. Upload a scanned copy or photo of your document.

  4. Upload a selfie holding the document you have chosen to verify your identity.

  5. After uploading, tap “Finish”. As soon as we verify your data, you will receive a push notification in relation to the status of your account.

Address verification

To start verifying your address, go to the “More” tab on the app’s main screen. Then select “Account Verification” and tap “Address Verification”.

To pass address verification, you need to follow two simple steps:

  1. Fill out the form specifying your place of residence.

  2. Upload the document that confirms the data specified in the previous step.

  3. After uploading, tap “Finish”. As soon as we verify your form, you will receive a push notification in relation to the status of your account.

Bank card verification

To start verifying your bank card, go to the “More” tab on the app’s main screen. Then select “Account Verification” and tap “Card Verification”.

You can verify up to five bank cards for one EXMO account. Cards must be embossed and issued in the name of an account holder.

Bank card verification includes three steps:

  1. Enter the first six and the last four digits of the card number, as well as the name of the cardholder.

  2. Upload a photo of the front of the card. If the name of the cardholder is printed on the back of the card, add a photo of the reverse side.

  3. After uploading, tap “Finish”. As soon as we verify your form, you will receive a push notification in relation to the status of your account.
