Cosmos is a decentralized network of independent parallel blockchains, each based on the algorithms of the Byzantine fault tolerance (BFT) consensus protocol.
Cosmos is positioning itself as Blockchain 3.0, designed to make it easier for developers to create blockchains and overcome barriers between blockchains, allowing them to interact with each other. The ultimate goal is to create a network of blockchains capable of communicating with each other decentrally. With Cosmos, blockchains can maintain sovereignty, quickly process transactions, and exchange data with other blockchains in the ecosystem, which makes it optimal for various use cases.
