The Filecoin (FIL) digital asset will soon be added on EXMO. Find out all about this new project in the exchange’s listing and don’t miss the announcement of the FIL trading launch on our platform.
The most talked-about crypto event of this week is by far the launch of the Filecoin mainnet with the FIL native coin. We keep up with industry trends, and therefore very soon a new asset FIL will appear on the EXMO exchange.
Filecoin is a decentralized storage network used for providing an additional incentive layer to IPFS (Interplanetary File System). As part of the initial coin offering (ICO) in 2017, the project attracted 205 million USD. The mainnet was launched on October 15, 2020. Filecoin is based on two security systems: Proof-of-Replication and Proof-of-Spacetime.
The FIL cryptocurrency is used to incentivize various types of nodes to benefit the network. Node types include Chain Verifier Node, Client Node, Storage Miner Node, Retrieval Miner Node. FIL will also be used as collateral for miners participating in the Filecoin ecosystem. The required collateral will be proportional to the storage space provided by the miners.
