Cross-Chain Recovery Policy

Cross-chain Deposit means a Deposit of a particular Сryptocurrency to the wallet address designated to another Сryptocurrency.

Recovery of cross-chain Deposits is a very dangerous, complicated, and time-consuming process. Not all Deposits may be recovered, and the level of complexity, risk and timeframes depend both on the type of Cryptocurrency and the used address for the Deposit. The User is responsible for any risks associated with making cross-chain Deposits.

In order to be eligible for the Deposit recovery the User have to meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • The User must be registered and verified on EXMO Platform.
  • The User’s recovery request must be submitted within 6 (six) months from the date of Deposit. All requests submitted beyond this 6 (six) months period are barred.
  • The User must seek recovery of a supported and listed on EXMO Platform Cryptocurrency.
  • The cross-chain Deposit must exceed the minimum amount established by EXMO which is $250 at the moment of transaction.
  • The User must pay in advance a fee for the Deposit recovery.

Having taken into consideration all the factors, the EXMO team has developed the following process of a cross-chain Deposit recovery:

  • The User must meet all eligibility criteria mentioned above and must submit a Deposit recovery request to EXMO.
  • The user has to pay a 10% (ten percent) fee based on the amount of recovered funds, with a minimum fee of $100 and a maximum fee of $500, for the recovery of funds. The fee for the Deposit recovery is payable in advance. In order to enable the recovery process, the User has to replenish his/her Account with the above mentioned amount.
  • After the successful replenishment, the EXMO support and finance departments will take the steps required for the Deposit recovery. If the cross-chain Deposit is recoverable ЕХМО will recover such Deposit within 30 (thirty) Business Days period.
  • The fee for the Deposit recovery will be deducted from the User’s Account in case of the successful transaction.

EXMO will make decisions on whether or not to attempt to recover a cross-chain Deposit at its sole discretion.

The cross-chain Deposit recovery policy is subject to change at any time and without notice.

The Users should remember about the described difficulties of the cross-chain Deposits recovery process and take into consideration a significant number of Deposits mistakenly sent to the wrong address. The EXMO team dedicates its best efforts to resolve the issue within the shortest time frames. Thus, we ask you to be patient.
