The influence of politics to world economy is obvious. In 2015 the world economy was shaken by Middle-East political processes. Oil prices are in free fall, there are weekly layoffs and bankruptcies. The Norwegian krone is at a low level and interest rates approaching zero in many countries. Many draw parallels to the financial crisis of 2008.
So what does this has to do with Bitcoin? While the traditional world economy has collapsed, Bitcoin gone the opposite way. As an investment thing in 2015, Bitcoin performed very well!
One Bitcoin was worth about $300 at the beginning of the year and at the end of 2015 the price reached $450. A huge increase of 50%. Not bad at all.
The the lowest price of Bitcoin in 2015 was around $177, and it actually happened already in January. So, 14 days long run from 177 to 300. This clearly shows that Bitcoin still is a high risk market.
